Continuo: support Repertoire Orchestra
Free to all, backed by many.
In Baroque music, the continuo is the bass line, the «rhythm section» that carries the whole ensemble. It’s similar with us: supporters give Repertoire Orchestra its continuity.
At Repertoire Orchestra, amateurs, students and professionals play great orchestral works side by side: no audition, no membership, no fees.
It is free of charge for everyone. This is made possible by funders, partners and people who choose to contribute. Continuo is our way of making this possible: a voluntary annual contribution, and you choose the amount.
Where does your contribution go?
A session costs around CHF 100 per person. On top of this, around 650 hours of volunteer work go into each season. Your contribution helps keep it free of charge. For the 2026/27 season, our goal is to raise CHF 6,000 through Continuo.
What you get in return
Continuo doesn’t give you priority when signing up, or any other discounts or benefits. However, for contributions from CHF 100 per year, we’ll issue you a donation receipt once our tax exemption has been granted, and depending on your canton, you can then deduct your donation from your taxable income. You’ll also be invited to our General Assembly (without voting rights) and, if you wish, we’ll name you as a supporter on our website.
Tax exemption and questions
Our association has applied for tax exemption. We’ll only know whether, and from when, it also applies to your payment once the decision has been made. That’s why you can choose to pay now or wait until our tax exemption has been granted.
Whether and how much you can deduct depends on your canton of residence. Your tax office can help with any questions about this.
